Fine yet solid, the coffee table/side table emilie is inspired by the Viennese coffee house culture.

The table top refers to the classic Viennese wickerwork of a typical coffee house chair. The fine pattern raised from the bronze is the result of exquisite craftsmanship. The table is produced in wax casting, a process particularly suitable for fine metal textures. Once moulded and cast, the wickerwork pattern is polished golden to stand out even more clearly from the bronze immediately below. This colour contrast creates a beautiful tension.

It is a tribute to Emilie Flöge – the famous Viennese designer who led her fashion salon around 1900 and is known in Vienna’s history as Gustav Klimt’s muse and companion.

The table measures either 50 or 70 centimetres in diameter and can be supplied in various heights as a lounge or side table, with either a bronze or a marble base. On request the table top is available in other finishes, for instance an entirely polished surface.
