Contemporary Art Exhibition Café Museum Vienna
Café Museum is a traditional Viennese café located in the Innere Stadt first district in Vienna.
The establishment of the new coffee house, opened in 1899 was designed by Adolf Loos, the open-minded builder, who, true to his artistic attitude, placed great emphasis on simplicity.
The café became a meeting place for Viennese artists such as Alban Berg, Elias Canetti, Gustav Klimt, Oskar Kokoschka, Franz Lehár, Robert Musil, Egon Schiele, Otto Wagner, Franz Werfel and Ernst Jandl.
The Viennese coffee house culture has become an „intangible UNESCO cultural heritage“.
